City of Boise announces their new Community Forestry Management Plan

On April 5, 2016 Boise City Council adopted the city's Community Forestry Strategic Management Plan.  This plan will guide the growth, development and management of Boise's community forest for the next 10 years.

This plan was developed over the course of the last year and included collaboration from Boise Parks Department - Community Forestry Program, multiple city departments and stakeholders and public throughout the city.  Several Network partners were engaged throughout the planning process and helped inform this plan based on the data produced by the 2013 Treasure Valley Urban Tree Canopy (UTC) Assessment and their expertise in sustainable growth and management of our region's urban forest.
