Once you decide, click ‘select this tree’ and follow the prompts to reserve your tree. During the checkout process, you can opt in for volunteer planting assistance.

Please note that there are limited numbers of each tree and supplies are first come, first served. One tree per household.

Trees can be planted in your yard. If you are looking for a tree in the public right-of-way (between the curb and sidewalk) contact the Boise Community Forestry Division for assistance.

In the weeks leading up to the arrival of trees, you will receive an email or phone call from your local Boise Tree Captain to confirm your tree and share details about your upcoming tree delivery.

Trees will arrive in mid-late October (an email with exact dates will be sent).

Your tree will be delivered directly to your home by volunteers and Idaho Conservation Corps members. To ensure a streamlined delivery process, tree recipients will not be able to pick up their own tree.

Planting recommendations (including information about Digline, guidelines for tree locations) will be sent to you ahead of your tree’s arrival.

During the checkout process, you will have an option to opt in for volunteer assistance in planting your tree.

If you choose to opt in for volunteer assistance, trained volunteers will come to your home on Saturday, October 25th to help dig a hole and properly plant your tree. Additional details will be provided before this day.

If you do not choose to have volunteer assistance in planting your tree, we will send you detailed instructions on how to plant your tree before it arrives.

All trees need water! We recommend deep watering your tree immediately after planting and consistently through the summer months. This can be done with installed irrigation systems, soaker hoses, and other methods.
