Community Assistance Partnership

with USDA Forest Service (2024 - 2029)

Advancing Community Assistance across Idaho’s Treasure Valley

This project will expand the capacity of the Treasure Valley Canopy Network to increase access to urban tree canopy, broaden community engagement in urban forest management, and improve the resilience of the region’s urban forest.

Programming will occur across the Treasure Valley, focused directly in neighborhoods in need of improved tree canopy and where there is high urban heat. The project is expected to increase canopy cover across the region and decrease the burden of tree maintenance for residents in the region’s most underserved areas.
