Our goal is to employ zero and low-waste tactics at every turn for Shade City. Here are some of the ways we are reducing waste:  

• Patrons will bring their own cups! We are not having cups made for this event. There will be used/donated cups available to purchase should someone forget a cup.

• Food vendors will use reusable flatware and plates.

• There will be a dishwashing station for cleaning plates for reuse managed by our friends at Roots Zero Waste Market.

• Brigade Screenprinting will be on site to print your Shade City merch as you order it to eliminate excess merchandise. 

• We will provide as many alternative transportation options as we can including bus routes, bike parking, and more!
